Photorejuvenation/BBL (Broad Band Light)
BBL is an innovative light-based technology for treating skin conditions associated with aging, active life-styles and sun damage. BBL light energy precisely treats age and sun spots, small facial veins, and many other skin defects. BBL phototherapy is noninvasive so you can receive comfortable and effective treatments to fit your schedule, even on a lunch break.
How does BBL work?
BBL deposits pulses of light energy that gently heats the upper layers of skin. Within the skin, the light energy is absorbed by targets, such as fine, broken vessels that cause redness and brown spots or pigmented lesions that are caused by an overproduction of melanin.
What conditions can be treated with BBL?
- Pigmented Lesions (e.g., freckles, age spots, melasma)
- Vascular Lesions (e.g., small blood vessels, rosacea and other micro-capillary flushing conditions)
- Skin laxity
- Uneven Skin Texture
- Unwanted Hair
What should I expect?
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. Pigmented lesions will darken and gradually flake off and fade over the next 7-10 days.
It is outer- to mid-epidermal laser peels that precisely removes a thin layer of skin to a selectable depth, improve skin texture, tone, and luminosity, and is easily customizable to each patient’s individual goals. Because only a thin layer of skin is removed, healing times tend to be very rapid.
How does MicroLaser Peel work?
The procedure uses a laser wavelength that is preferentially absorbed in the water of the epidermis, instantaneously heats the water to a high temperature causing it to vaporize or ablate the skin and precisely ablates skin anywhere from 4 to 50 microns deep (a micron is very small – e.g., a fine human hair might be around 40 microns thick). Ablating the top layer of the epidermis removes old, tired-looking skin and depending on depth, will remove some light blemishes such as sun spots and pigment irregularities. During the healing process new, healthy cells re-grow, generally improving the overall appearance of the skin.
What should I expect after treatment?
Slight swelling may be present in the treated area; however, it usually subsides within a few hours to a day. Redness may persist for a few days, depending on the depth of the treatment, but should resolve fairly rapidly. It is important that you avoid sun exposure, especially while your skin is healing. If you must go outdoors, it is recommended that you cover your treated skin, wear a hat and use sun block of SPF 30 or higher.
SkinTyte is a non-invasive, no downtime, aesthetic procedure that uses light to heat the deep layer in the skin, activating the body’s repair response to make and remodel collagen. Over time, this process reduces the appearance of loose, saggy, lax skin.
How does SkinTyte work?
As our skin ages, its base foundation known as the dermal matrix begins to lose its tight, interwoven structure as some of its elastin and collagen strands become stretched. There is also a decreased production of collagen and elastin. The SkinTyte procedure utilizes infrared thermal energy to deeply heat collagen in the dermis. The heat also initiates the body’s natural healing or repair process, which creates a renewed collagen foundation leading to increased skin firmness. Powerful cooling maintains the outer surface of your skin at a cool temperature before, during, and after each pulse providing the patient a comfortable and safe procedure.
Who should consider SkinTyte?
The procedure is recommended for those who desire mild to moderate, noticeable skin improvement, without surgery.
When will I begin to see results?
3-5 treatment sessions are often recommended to achieve maximum collagen rebuilding and skin firming. Patients may see immediate firming results right after treatment, but the full effect of improvement is achieved several months after treatment as collagen continues to rebuild.
ProFractional Therapy is a quick and effective laser procedure with little downtime, used for improving the overall appearance of your skin.
How does ProFractional work?
ProFractional uses a tiny beam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin. The laser used in this system has a very high attraction to the water in your skin. When the laser energy is applied, it ablates (vaporizes) a layer of skin to a precisely-controlled depth. Because only a fraction of your skin is directly treated with the laser, the surrounding untreated tissue promotes rapid healing. This body’s wound healing response creates new collagen, which adds firmness and resilience to the skin.
What are the benefits of a ProFractional?
- Excellent results can be obtained with minimum downtime
- Treats deeply for very effective collagen remodeling
- Effective on a wide range of conditions
- In-office procedure, done with topical or local anesthetic
- Combines with other procedures for improved results
What should I expect?
Immediately following the procedure you may experience mild redness and a sensation resembling sunburn. Complete healing typically occurs within a few days and most patients usually feel comfortable enough to get back to normal activities and apply makeup a day or two after the treatment. There may be some swelling that will subside within several days following the treatment.
